Monte Baldo - Europe Garden

Famous as HORTUS EUROPAE the characteristics of this mountain are unique. The green (or white during the winter season) reflected in the largest Italian lake, offers a multitude of landscapes and natural activities that nowhere else are so rich. Its slopes are the perfect environment where different rare species of plants can grow form an incredible biodiversity.

The climate is so mild and due to this the summer last more and is still such a dream in low season having long walks on the crest of the mountain and among the many hiking trails. From the top the view is stunning, 360° on the lake and from Refuge Telegrafo – Barana  (directly over Brenzone at 7.930 ft altitude) it may be seen the famous lion of St. Mark's in Venice.

In Malcesine, 6 miles from our hotel, there is a cable car which takes 10 minutes from 292 feets above sea level to an altitude of almost 5.900 ft. The cabin of the second climb is rotating to allow a full view of the lake. For those prefer walk, directly from the Hotel is possible leave with flip flops and swimsuit and climb the 6.500 ft of altitude gap. Easily from the hamlet of Prada (3.281 ft) famous for Punta Veleno, start many path lasts few hours or entire journeys.

Hotel Brenzone, where also Nuvolari was living slowly

A yellow sweater, blue pants and brown leather vest, this was the “Nivola” equipment for his race. We are talking about the champion Tazio Nuvolari, born in Mantua but true lover of Lake Garda. Nuvolari is one of the famous guest who stayed in our Hotel in our 100 years history.

The Garda was special for Tazio, because many important events of his life took place around, as one of its first victories in Verona, or as the meeting with Gabriele D'Annunzio, where the poet in addition to giving him a commemorative plaque engraved the sentence "fastest man of the world, the slowest animal on earth", gift him a golden turtle that became his trademark, still recognized.

Twice winner of the Mille Miglia at the age of 56 in Brescia, passing to say hello to fellow drivers, he was hired and literally “put” in the car bringing again thrill trough the spectators. In 1930 was the first man able to cover the distance of the race with an average of over 60 miles/h. Nuvolari was like this: simple and passionate, characteristic that here in Brenzone we know well.

How to not wonder that the benefits of the fresh lake air and the mixed cousine, between delicate fish  and strong flavors of the mountain, help Tazio in his triumps. A sure fact is that Nuvolari in Brenzone was not in hurry but he married our vision of indulge, in the joy of complete rest in the nature with a so pristine landscape.

Brenzone, the new Brazil for Kitesurfer

You, the board and a kite able to transports you to the mercy of the wind, and let you experience the thrill of the speed, if not for the grace of the flight. It is one of the extreme sport and although it is so recent, has ancient origins. In Europe in ‘800 there were already who imagining the power wind in of transport and the opportunity to fly upon a board. We are talking about Kitesurfing.

In Brenzone over the past decade was born spontaneously the culture for this sport. The development was due to the extremely favorable conditions of wind. Its strength and continuous, unique and is a pleasure to learn how to fly with the board caressed by the sunset.

There are many schools in the village, which has the highest number in percentage, and of course one also in Magugnano where you can see every day a motorboat for support the kiters’ tricks. It is not unusual sit drinking a cocktail in the restaurant "Al Vapor", see and greet the guys with the large costumes and American hats.

To celebrate this passion, next July 26 there will be a partyde dicated to the  Brazilian friends from the most famous beaches, just one minute walking  from the Hotel Brenzone, named KITEPIRINHAS.

We were at the Chamber of Commerce of Verona in the official awards ceremony to receive this illustrious certificate of guarantee to you.

Among the years we were looking for this quality, trying to reach the standard of a family run business, that reflects the gold natural paradise we have just in front. Even without a label we were sure that those who chosen us for their holiday, truly knew what they were looking for, now is down in black and white.

Musica maestro

As in the Walt Disney Masterpiece the village will be animated by the music of the Corpo Bandistico of Brenzone. This band glorious in the past, is now a current reality of our village and in the summer evenings you may have the opportunity to be pleasured by a mixed repertoire of tradition and innovation. Reborn in 1996 now is a group of 30 players that during the winter are continuing study in order to making Music, the one with capital M.

Performance among the year in the traditional festivals, religious days and fixed appointment in calendar, this group offer some nice concerts on the lake river. The concert repertoire is a mix of different musical style very different one from other, giving to those who listen two hours of lively music. Songs of the fab4 from Liverpool, soundtracks of Hollywood masterpieces, but also music in order to dance as waltzer and mazurkas.
